I just had to share these spectacular Swarovski crystal cupcake stands we displayed at the Chisolm Fair over the past weekend. The stands were a hit with the crowd and looked amazing with the cupcakes all colourful and scrumptious. Loretta and I spent time decorating each stand and revealed the finished product for the first time at the fair. This weekend we'll also be at the John Septimus Roe school fete , so please come down and check out the Swarovski crystal stands for yourself. If you'd like more details on hiring or buying the cupcake stands please contact us.

Amethyst Swarovski Filigree Earrings
These light weight dangle earrings have lots of movement to show off the crystals on both sides of the filigree squares. They look elegant and you don't even know're wearing them. I've also made them in clear crystal with a crystal encrusted sterling silver earring hook.

Long Glitzy Glamour Earrings
I've always made these earrings in a short version for my shop. They were popular, look great in a mix of colours to pick up on the colour scheme of an outfit.
I also made this design in matching earrings necklace and bracelet for a bride using 4mm white pearls and Swarovski crystal AB. Looked just gorgeous, my fingers were numb for about a week later.
Here a link to photo of the bride with the earrings on, only you can't see the necklace from the angle of photo
I made the Tiara too.

Ice Cream Bon Bon
Christmas in July dinner party. I was on dessert. I thought I'd try something different and make a bon bon ice cream. I put vanilla ice cream, mixed berries, Lindt chocolate and crushed meringue, mixed it all together. I won't show you how it looked mixed. It somehow didn't look as yummy.
I used a soup ladel to get the shape and put it on baking paper. Put it to set in the freezer. This is where MasterChef comes in, because I think I needed a blast freezer. Because it didn't set :(( It looked like it had set, but after two minutes it was still too soft.
So, I thought I'd put chocolate set topping thinking it would hold the ice cream all in together. But then it looked good, but the ice cream melted out and only the chocolate shell was left :(( But one did work. It must've been more to the bottom of the freezer.
It was supposed to look like this served on the plate. So I saved one. And I made everyone taste it that night, because it was nice.
I had a back up dessert, thinking people wouldn't eat it because it was rocky road. They actually loved it and ate the whole Christmas tree, except for the star, because that was metal.

I Love Designing Bracelets
I love to design Bracelets, because I can try out a new idea I've had in mind.
It’s small enough to have a finished piece, big enough to see how it could look as a necklace.
From that idea I can see how I would like to make a pair of matching earrings, or necklace, I can use a piece of the pattern incorporate it into another jewellery piece I'm designing.
Sometimes I like to make a few different types of bracelets and keep them in a messy pile on my desk for a few days, just look at it now and then sounds weird but I have to tell you I’ve had some of my best ideas from doing that.
This is my lastest idea a delicate, elegant, Sterling Silver Bracelet it has a puffed heart charm and a flat oval charm that can have a special message engraved onto it.
Something new,different and versatile.

Mt First Ad Campaign
I've really thrown myself into the deep end with this online stuff. I'm finally ready to begin letting everyone know I'm here with an advertising campaign on Facebook
. It's not a massive undertaking, really just putting my toe into the water, but I know I'm about to learn a lot. If I get loads of people 'like'my Amron Jewels page I'll even have a giveway.

Young At Heart Eye Glasses Necklace
I don't know about you young at heart ladies, I don't think I'm a senior yet, but I do find I have to wear glasses every now and then. When I don't need them I find it annoying to have to find them each time I want them. So when I know I'm going to need them often I will wear my necklace, to hang them temporarily and make the glasses easy to grab. Because I wear black a lot of the time and I like wearing white for summer I made the necklace in platium Swarovski pearls, which looks classy and definitely not senior. If you'd like to purchase this necklace, or one like it in a different colour, please take a look at the necklace here.

Mother-of-the-Groom Jewels
I had Jo contact me through Amron Jewels website asking me to come up with something to match her new outfit she'd bought for her son's wedding in April. I love when the customer has enough trust in me to come up with something to match colour and style wise. The photos below show the finished necklace and matching earrings made with Jet and Silvershade Swarovski crystals, Antique Bronze Swarovski pearls and brass findings. The customer loved it.

The colours of the outfit are more olive than show in the photo. I've added more photos of these matching pieces to the gallery section on Amron Jewels.

Blogging More Often
Hey all,
I'm am going to try start blogging more often because everything I read says that I should.
So this will be like a dear diary about my jewllery business.
I have been busy making pieces for customer orders so haven't had time to get things onto website, so please keep checking.
I've been making new designs but have been selling them before getting a chance to photogragh and load onto Amron Jewels which is good in one way, but not another 'cause people keep telling me I need more pieces up on the website. But there is only one of me and I want to go to bed before midnight every night.
Dont forget that I'm putting beads and findings up, if you purchase $30 or more its free postage. This saves you a trip away from home. You should receive your parcel within a week.
The photo shows one of the pieces I'm finishing off for Jess to wear to her school ball.

Be back soon

Corsages Everywhere
Well, it's school ball time again and I've been busy making my corsages. Lucky I love making them. Of course when you're onto something good the supplier decides to delete the most popular item. Oh well, I've been wanting to create other designs, so this might force my hand. Look for new corsage designs coming soon to Amron Jewels.
My silk flower corsages are always popular because they never wilt in the hot weather and are perfect as a keepsake of the special evening. The clear Swarovski crystal centres sparkle and accessorise perfectly with any gown. The friendship bracelet is extendable and made of delica seed beads. Also available are matching buttonholes for the young men.

Made on the Left Supply Swap
Made on the Left are having a supply swap this Sunday. I just had to be there to help clear out some of the stuff I have still piled up here at home since closing the store. So, if you're after a bargain and want to pick up some other crafty items going cheap, make sure you're there.
When? This Sunday January 9 upstairs at The Saint hotel, 2 Morris Road, Innaloo. Catch me any time between 9.30am and 2pm. I'm taking a couple of tubs filled with jars. I figure it's a great way to deal with some of this extra stuff here and a good way to help promote my new online venture Amron Jewels. Hope to see you there.

Plodding Along

It's been exciting launching the new website Amron Jewels. Loads of people have given me feedback and I've had sales, but it's still a learning curve, which feels like a steep hill. That's why I am plodding along.
For those who keep asking me, yes I am putting my Genuine Swarovski crystals online, I just wasn't going to do it so soon. But after the huge response to Amron Jewels website I've been adding the Swarovski crystals for my beading customers. Make sure you check out Amron Jewels for current updates and I'm offering great discounts if you buy in bulk, with free postage if you spend $30 or more in one transaction.
Because I've been spending so much time adding the Swarovski crystals to the website, in the middle of the Christmas rush and planning to get away for a few days, I haven't had any time for creating jewellery. But there are many designs coming soon.
Hopefully, the few days I have away with my family will refresh me to be all ready for more action when I return. Please note any orders made on Amron Jewels between 28th December - 2nd January will be despatched on my return. Have a lovely time with your family over the holidays.

Crystal Cuff with Slight Ruffle
I made this cuff for a customer who wanted it to match a particular gorgeous top. The thing was, once we got outside the colour of the blue zircon Swarovski crystals looked completely different and were not a great match for the top. I ended up using three shades of the Swarovski crystals; amethyst, tanzanite & purple velvet to make her another cuff, which she loved. I can make this in any colour combination you choose. Send me an email if you'd like one in another combination. This one fits a 14.5cm wrist. I also have the beads & findings for this bracelet available to buy separately. I hope you like it.

It's a Mad House
You would not believe how mad it's been just this last month. Once I decided to close the Amron Bead Shop, it was on. 40% off all stock was enough to drive people, in droves, to my store, many for the first time, as well as loads of regular customers telling me how sad they were to see me go. All of them spending heaps of money and time in the store.
I can't say I'm sad. I've hardly had a moment to draw breath, let alone express any emotion about leaving the store after five years. This month of being rushed off my feet has sealed the deal. Taking the leftover stock to the upcoming Perth Craft & Quilt Fair, my soon to open web page - Amron Jewels, and to my Etsy store, also known as Amron Jewels, I'm looking forward to setting my own hours running my online business.
All of this is new to me. I'm diving head first into the whole world of the internet. It's like learning the rules to a new game and coming up against better players. I understand I'm more likely to be left with no one wanting me on their team. I have a lot to learn. But I hope you can help me on my journey as I discover how this all works.
I'll be sure to update you when everything begins. Please follow me on Twitter or Facebook to find out when stock is available online. Thanks for reading.
