Went out Friday night for one of the girls birthdays. Great night at Ploy Thai Cuisine in Maylands. Driving down in the storm and pot holes down Central Ave was a bit hairy but the food was so fresh and yummy it was worth taking the girls lives in my hands. We had spring rolls, money bags, red curry, green curry, Pad chicken with cashew nuts and Tamarind Prawns. I'm planning on taking our son there for his birthday when he gets back from Europe in a couple weeks.
The necklace pictured is the piece I made for my friend for her birthday. I have made it in other colours but I thought the white pearls would suit her best. She loved it. She wore that night and also at the food and wine ball we went to.

The Perth Craft & Quilt Fair

Phew! What a week it was at the Perth Craft & Quilt Fair. Set up was stressful. I had girls helping me running late. All those last minute things that just go wrong, too. But after all was said and done I had a good busy week. I suppose I'd like to have sold more, but overall it was an experience I thoroughly enjoyed.
There were new contacts made, loads of goods sold and new beading friends to share ideas with. Although, I felt exhausted at the end of the week, it helped me to focus on what exactly I want to do so far as selling online.
I'll be scrapping the etsy idea and focus only on my website: Amron Jewels; and updating Facebook and this blog.

It's a Mad House

You would not believe how mad it's been just this last month. Once I decided to close the Amron Bead Shop, it was on. 40% off all stock was enough to drive people, in droves, to my store, many for the first time, as well as loads of regular customers telling me how sad they were to see me go. All of them spending heaps of money and time in the store.
I can't say I'm sad. I've hardly had a moment to draw breath, let alone express any emotion about leaving the store after five years. This month of being rushed off my feet has sealed the deal. Taking the leftover stock to the upcoming Perth Craft & Quilt Fair, my soon to open web page - Amron Jewels, and to my Etsy store, also known as Amron Jewels, I'm looking forward to setting my own hours running my online business.
All of this is new to me. I'm diving head first into the whole world of the internet. It's like learning the rules to a new game and coming up against better players. I understand I'm more likely to be left with no one wanting me on their team. I have a lot to learn. But I hope you can help me on my journey as I discover how this all works.
I'll be sure to update you when everything begins. Please follow me on Twitter or Facebook to find out when stock is available online. Thanks for reading.
