Made on the Left are having a supply swap this Sunday. I just had to be there to help clear out some of the stuff I have still piled up here at home since closing the store. So, if you're after a bargain and want to pick up some other crafty items going cheap, make sure you're there.
When? This Sunday January 9 upstairs at The Saint hotel, 2 Morris Road, Innaloo. Catch me any time between 9.30am and 2pm. I'm taking a couple of tubs filled with jars. I figure it's a great way to deal with some of this extra stuff here and a good way to help promote my new online venture Amron Jewels. Hope to see you there.

Web site launched today.
Launched my web site today. Amron Jewels is now live. It was terrifying and exciting all at one time. I have heaps more jewels to upload. There is still lots of work to do.
I've decided to keep my jewels separate from my beads. So beads and findings will be offered to you through my Amron Jewels ebay store only. All beads and findings on my ebay store are free of postage & shipping costs within Australia. So, keep your eye on the store or make it a favourite.
Now that the Amron Jewels website is up and running I will be spending more time on tidying up and organizing the Amron Jewels ebay store properly, lots more to upload there but will take a little time.
If there is something you know I had in the store and you'd like to purchase just email me through Amron Jewels ebay store or through amron.jewels@hotmail.com.

Closing the Bead Shop

So, I finally closed my Amron Bead shop after five years. I made loads of good beadie friends and learnt heaps about selling beads in that time. It was hard work finishing up. The last month with the 40% off all stock made for a busy, busy time. We officially closed the doors May 1st, but then came the chore of moving all the gear out. Although plenty of stock sold, there were still beads, findings and various other goods, including the shelving, to take out and fill up the truck we hired for the move.
My husband and I worked most of the Sunday to carry it all out, but he insisted I take a break in the afternoon. Friends dropped by, so I simply had to stop, though I'd have pushed on through if they hadn't shown up. But they brought along their three kids the next day to join my three and we moved every last object out of there by 2.30 in the afternoon. Not bad at all.
Then there was putting it all into my house. The front room and garage are filled to the brim with shelves, but it looks really good. The kitchen table has strands of gemstones pooled into piles and there are boxes in the entry, but I'm working my way through that. Running my business from home is feeling more right every day.
But my back and neck ached from all this extra activity. Even after a massage I'm still sore. Most nights I fell asleep by eight, which was a lovely change of pace for me, anyway. So, now I'm still getting everything ready for the Craft & Quilt Fair this week.
I've been packing kits, shoving lots of tens and twenties into small plastic bags, pricing, deciding what to take & what not to take. As you can imagine I'm still pretty busy. Soon I'll be adding stock to my etsy store, so keep your eye out for that. I'll share with you again once I have something happening there.
